The Sustainable Development Summit was held from 25-27 September 2015 at the UN Headquarters in New York. Countries officially adopted the historic new agenda, entitled “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” which was agreed upon by the 193 Member States of the United Nations, and includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Getting SDG-linked projects off the ground ensures an organisation’s contribution is future-proofed for sustainability. More record-breaking means sustainability improves around the world!
Record breaking should focus on one SDG. If there is more than one SDG that is linked to a record, please submit a separate application for each.

SDG World Records aims to provide organisations the opportunity to create more sustainability/social projects. SocietyNext Foundation collaborates with other SDG-linked social funders to support NGOs/NPOs/social enterprises at different stages around the world.

The sponsor (either individuals or organisations) and organiser (must be organisations) co-hold a particular record title. They are called the Record Holder. Participants can apply for a participation certificate; they are called a Record Participant.

The record application procedure has two stages. The first stage objective is to ensure your idea can convert into an SDG World Record. This is free of charge.

If there is more than one organiser or sponsor, SDG World Records can issue a certificate for each sponsor/organiser with their own name. Each certificate will be charged separately.
If there are many organisers, the primary organiser or “Organised by different Parties” will appear on the organiser’s certificate.
If there are many sponsors, the primary sponsor or “Sponsored by different Parties” will appear on the sponsor’s certificate.

Registered organization who are qualified NGO/NPO will enjoy community rate of application fee.
Individuals can be sponsors but only organisations can fill the organiser role required to apply for an SDG World Record. If you have a good idea to contribute to a sustainable future, we encourage you to collaborate with people to bring more sustainability/social projects to life faster.
Yes. Register your company as a registered organisation on the Regiration page, and then fill your company name into the sponsor field when submitting your record application. If additional support needs, please email to sponsor@sdg.do.
Certificates are shipped via trackable courier service. This depends on the shipping method selected on your checkout page. Please allow 1-3 weeks from receipt of your certificate for delivery.
Please purchase additional certificates via record@sdg.do. The purchase order will be verified by the holder’s registered email. The cost of additional certificates and shipping will be charged to the buyer.
You can order your own participation certificate via order@sdg.do if your name is shown on the participant section of the eCert page.
The participant list is submitted by the organiser. Please contact your organiser and ask them to upload your name.
SDG World Records have a certificate specification and record criteria that is adhered to when creating texts for certificates. The record in SDG World Records system is immutable. Please proof-read carefully, as a certificate’s contents will not be amended after it is issued.

To speed up the application process, SDG World Records are unable to respond to any postal correspondence.
All postal correspondence sent to SDG World Records will be securely disposed of upon receipt, so please do not send any postal correspondence.
