Funding for Communities

Sustainability is important for a very simple, straightforward reason: we cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings, the diversity of life on Earth, or Earth’s ecosystems, unless we embrace it.

SocietyNext Foundation believes a sustainable future is built by everyone who works for, buys from, invests in, learns from, teaches about, or supports businesses striving to create a shared and durable prosperity for all.

We support innovative sustainability/social projects of different forms and at various stages of development for achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The funding strategy considers both efficiency and social/environmental good to bring about social change regarded as positive by proponents.

As human-centric innovators, people adopt an iterative approach to solving problems. This uses feedback from those who will use the design as a critical part of how a solution evolves. By continually iterating, refining, and improving the work, designers can create more ideas, try a variety of approaches, unlock their creativity, and arrive more quickly at a successful solution.

Sustainability/Social Innovation (Design Thinking, DT) Pipeline

The SocietyNext Foundation’s Fund is open to all interested parties, including NGOs/NPOs/Society Enterprises, that show innovative ideas to achieve SDGs around the world.

For project pre-implementation (idea) stage

The Cup for Social Innovation Ideas Session uses gamification to build successful prototypes of the products or services. Prototyping is the stage of the human-centred design process where ideas come to life. Building prototypes is a low-cost and risk-averse way to get ideas into the hands of the people they will benefit.

Funding per winning team.

For project implementation stage

The Lions Club HK IFC World Banker Program is not only about project funding but also brings together community service organisers and business mentors to address sustainability challenges through  SDG-linked social innovation projects.

Sustainable/social impact cannot be created by a single project. Social Impact Incentives (SII) is a funding instrument that rewards high-impact organisations (based on the number of SDG World Records and overall SDG-linked social impact) with annual premium payments for achieving social impact. The organisation enjoys full flexibility around the additional cash prize to bring in.

Funding per winning organisation.
